This week we are going to have a Happy Fun Time with this sandbag workout. This is a little different style then we have done in the past. You will perform 3 rounds. Each round will be a ladder, one exercise will increment by 1 rep every time through the others will remain at 1 rep each.
Perform 3 Rounds, 8 Sets per Round of the following:
Sandbag Overhead Presses
Sandbag Front Squats
How to Perform the Happy Fun Time Sandbag Workout
By this time, you should be familiar with all the basic moves we will be doing. If you are not familiar with any of the movements in this workout, watch the video below or ask a coach.
We always recommended you warm-up prior to strenuous exercise. Before you begin this workout, you should perform some dynamic stretching, and/or 5 to 10 minutes of light cardio.
There is no time element for this workout. Perform it at your own pace.
In the first round of Happy Fun time, you will start by performing 1 rep of each exercise. then each time through the exercises you will add 1 rep to the sandbag cleans. The presses and squats will remain at 1 rep each. Continue to this round adding reps to the cleans until you get through 8 reps.
For the second round of Happy Fun Time start back with 1 rep of each exercise. Each time through the exercises you will add 1 rep to the overhead presses until you reach 8 reps. The cleans and the squats will remain at 1 rep each for this round.
In the third round of Happy Fun Time, you will start back with one rep of each exercise. This time, you will increase the squats by 1 rep each time you go through until you reach 8 reps. The cleans and the presses remain at 1 rep for this round.
So, perform this at your own pace. Take as much of a break between rounds as you need. Try to do each round non-stop though.
