Workout of the Week: Double Dumbbell Complex.

The Workout of the week for this week is a double dumbbell complex. It is one complex of dumbbell exercises that you will perform 4 times with 1-2 minutes rest between rounds.

Complete each circuit as described.           



            Bent Over Row

            Reverse Lunge

            Curl and Press

            Romanian Deadlift

How to Perform Double Dumbbell Complex


By this time, you should be familiar with all the basic moves we will be doing. If you are not familiar with any of the movements in this workout, ask a coach.

We always recommended you warm-up prior to strenuous exercise. Before you begin this workout, you should perform some dynamic stretching, and/or 5 to 10 minutes of light cardio.


The Workout

Using 2 dumbbells complete the complex for 4 rounds, with 1-2 minutes between the rounds. Start the first round by completing 8 reps of each exercise, 8 reps on each side for the reverse lunges. Complete the complex without putting the dumbbells down.  After each round take a short 1-2 minute break. Each round you will decrease the reps by 1, working down to a round of 5 reps per exercise.

Make sure to use a challenging weight.
