Simple Banana Soft Serve

This simple recipe for banana soft serve is a great dessert for 2, when you want ice cream but not the calories and the guilt that go with it. You have a have the option of using unsweetened coconut milk or almond milk. Nutritional information if using unsweetened coconut milk: 174 calories, 41g carbs, 1g fat, 2g protein, 6g sodium and 22g sugar.

Additionally, it is easy to boost the protein simply by adding a scoop of dotFIT Whey Smooth or other whey protein powder. This also gives you some additional flavor possibilities. Try with chocolate, vanilla or another flavor protein. You can also add some sliced fresh bananas, berries, dark chocolate, or peanut butter chips, just remember the more you add the more calories this dessert will have.

Here is what you will need to prepare your simple banana soft serve

Ingredients:

3 bananas, peeled, sliced and FROZEN

4 tablespoons of unsweetened coconut milk, or unsweetened vanilla almond milk

1-2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

To Prepare Your Simple Banana Soft Serve

1. Put all the ingredients in a Vitamix or equivalent powered blender, or a food processor.

2. Blend until smooth (about 3 minutes), stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides.

3. Scoop into a bowl and enjoy immediately as soft serve.

Option: If you want firmer ice cream, place in an air tight freezer safe container and place in the freezer for 1 hour.

4. Top with your favorite ice cream topping for an added treat.
