What is FUNCTIONAL TRAINING and why is it so IMPORTANT?

Functional training refers to movements and exercises that use multiple muscle groups that directly increase strength and improve activities performed in your daily life. The idea behind functional training is to strengthen and train your body to help you with every day actions, such as standing up from sitting down, carrying groceries upstairs, placing a suitcase on a high shelf, or playing with your children or grandchildren at the park. Functional training movements and exercises are specifically designed to achieve these results while using multiple muscle groups at the same time verses isolating muscle groups. Machine training isolates single muscles groups and the movements that these machines direct your body in do not relate to, or directly improve, your activities of daily life. Functional training utilizes multiple muscles groups for all exercises, improving your activities in daily life, while giving you quicker and longer lasting results, including fat loss and toned muscle. When we train you, we train your entire body!—hitting multiple muscle groups using a variety of exercises. We use a magnitude of functional training tools including Kettlebells, Warrior Ropes, TRX and Rip Trainers, Bosu Balls, and much more. Through functional training methods and our individually designed programs, we are able to completely transform our client's bodies, improve their quality of life, and deliver them a multitude of health benefits.

Semi-Private Personal Training

  • Based on your strategy session and goals, we will design a program for you. During your training sessions you will work with one of our Certified Personal Trainers in a semi-private setting (1-4). In this personalized setting, you will be given in-depth instruction while focusing on your specific goals.

BodyFIT Team Training

  • Our Team Training program includes unlimited coaching in our circuit style, total body workouts that will help you reduce body fat and improve your functional strength and conditioning.
