How can you go wrong with savory chicken, refreshing avocado, melted cheese, spicy salsa and sour cream? These chicken avocado burritos are going to be a staple for your cookbook. These burritos are easy to make and quick too, about 20 minutes total prep and cooking time. So, they are great for a busy family. One short-cut in the preparation is to get pre-cooked chicken.

Here is what you will need to prepare your chicken avocado burritos


4 Burrito sized tortillas (corn tortillas for gluten-free), warmed

1 Pound of cooked chicken, Sliced or shredded (pre-cooked or cook ahead of time)

1 Large avocado, diced

1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded

¼ cup salsa verde

¼ cup sour cream

2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped

To Prepare Your Chicken Avocado Burritos

One easy step:

1) Assemble the burrito, optionally you can toast it in a panini press, and enjoy!

Options: Use taco lime grilled chicken, cilantro lime grilled chicken or tequila lime grilled chicken instead of plain chicken
